Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operational Tasks:
Perform General Bookkeeping procedures and Knowledge of Accrual Accounting

Financial and Grant Knowledge:
Work with the Executive Director, Director of Social Services and Department Managers to gain better understanding of grant contracts. Meet regularly and work closely with them to assist them with their expenses, budgets, and forecasts.
Financial Budgeting, Reporting and Compliance:
Assist Department Directors and manager with financial compliance with all local, state and federal government grant requirements are followed and maintained.
Provide monthly and quarterly budget reconciliation and variance reports to the Executive Director and Finance Chair. Provide accurate, timely and financial reporting to continuously monitor the financial performance and budget management for various constituencies (e.g., internal management, Board, private donors and government agencies). Adhere to organization's financial accounting policies, procedures, and templates to ensure accurate and proper financial reporting.
Assist Executive Director by providing supporting documents and financial reports to prepare the annual budget.
Review financial information with the Director of Social Services prior to draw-downs used for all grant applications.

Qualification Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of federal grant administration experience
Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience in strategic planning and institutional development
Advanced experience with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
Commitment to a service-oriented organization where team building and collaboration are paramount.
Effective and persuasive communicator, written and oral, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including finance and non-finance staff.

This is a Full-Time 40 Hour Position (Monday -- Friday 9am to 5pm)
Primary Responsibilities:
